Literature Text

One never really knows how precious something is until they lose it.  A touch, a smile, a whispered promise, all so very precious yet far too often taken for granted.  Cursing time and time again, the mistakes of the past. Walls built, bridges burned, and the emptiness that slowly devours your soul.  Now seeking even a glimmer of hope, something, anything to breath life once again into the shattered shell you have become.  Pathetic and foolish, you crawl and beg for what once was yours so long long ago, taking the rejections and quietly placing them deep within so that none can see just how far you have fallen.

How long will you try, how far will you fall? What is the depths of your absence of pride.  Silently picking up the pieces of what was once your happiness, will you forsake everything to see the smile, feel the touch and hear the whispered promises once more? Grovel while you may, as the emptiness continues to consume...
pathetic ramblings of one who is seeking
